Bemidji State with fifth place showing at Jimmie Invite
Letourneau finishes 17th to pace Beavers

JAMESTOWN, N.D. - The Bemidji State University cross country team traveled to Jamestown, N.D. to take part in the Jimmie Invitational hosted by Jamestown College on Friday.

The Beavers came away with a fifth place finish in the six team event tallying a score of 118, 20 points more than Dickinson State University who tied Jamestown College with scores of 98. Minnesota State University Moorhead came away with the title as all five runners that tallied scores placed in the top 10 led by Anna VanWechel who finished in first place.

Bemidji State was led by freshman Stacy Letourneau (White Bear Lake, Minn.) who finished with a time of 20:19.14, good enough for 17th place. Freshman Brittany Becker (Grand Rapids, Minn.) was the second across the line for the Beavers as she finished in 23rd place with a time of 20:52.69.

The Beavers will return to action on October 20th when they will travel to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships which will take place in Winona, Minn. with action slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
