Beavers look to make impact at NSIC Championship
Freshman lead Bemidji State into meet

BEMIDJI, Minn. - The Bemidji State University cross country team will compete against the rest of the conference this Saturday when they travel to Winona, Minn. to compete in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championship.

The Beavers will be looking for strong performances from freshman Stacy Letourneau (White Bear Lake, Minn.) and Brittany Becker (Grand Rapids, Minn.) to improve upon their 7th place finish at last years championship. The two runners have finished first and second respectively in each race this season for the Beavers.

Bemidji State will be facing some tough competition this weekend as Minnesota State University Moorhead finds themselves ranked 6th in the North Central Regional poll as well as tied for the 25th ranking in the nation. The Dragons will be looking to dethrone last years champions from Wayne State College.

The 6K race is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Westfield Golf Course in Winona, Minn. Winona State University is the host for this years race.
