2003 (Fr.): Finished in 14th place at Dragon Invitational (21:48).

Prior to BSU: Won letters in basketball (5), volleyball (5), and track (6) at International Falls H.S....Two-year selection to all-area first team in volleyball...Four-time All-Iron Range Conference selection for basketball...School's all-time basketball scoring leader and record-holder in 200-meter and 400-meter dashes.

Personal: Nicole Marie Friend...Born November 11, 1984...Daughter of Wade and Michelle Friend...Majoring in mathematics...Also a member of BSU's women's basketball team...Played in 28 games last year, averaging 2.9 points and 1 rebound per game.
