Nov. 27, 2006 - Falkenhagen steps down from BSU coaching post
Bemidji State University Director of Athletics Dr. Rick Goeb today announced that Kim Falkenhagen has stepped aside from her responsibilities as BSU’s head volleyball coach, effective immediately, to pursue other interests. The University will begin a national search immediately with the goal of having a new coach on board in the spring of 2007.

Nov. 2, 2006 - CSP boots Beavers from NSIC Tournament

Nov. 1, 2006 - Burns named All-NSIC Honorable Mention
Bemidji State University junior outside hitter Brittney Burns (LeSueur, Minn.) has been named to the 2006 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Honorable Mention Team the league today announced. Burns' selection marks the first BSU all-conference honoree since Heather Haugen and Kristin Smith were named to the team following the 2004 campaign.

The Bemidji State University volleyball team ran out of steam Tuesday, evening dropping its 2006 home finale to University of Minnesota, Crookston, 3-2 (30-26, 30-21, 28-30, 16-30, 15-9). The Bemidji State volleyball team dropped a non-conference tilt to St. Cloud State, 3-0 (30-12, 31-29, 30-17), Tuesday evening at Hallenbeck Hall. The Huskies held at least a share of the lead from the opening serve to the final point and although BSU played a spirited game two pushing SCSU beyond 30 points, St. Cloud State held off the Beavers' rally and walked away with a victory and sweep of the season series.

The Bemidji State University volleyball team dropped its 2006 home opener, 3-0 (30-24, 32-30, 30-13) to St. Cloud State University Tuesday at the BSU Gymnasium. Sept. 9, 2006 - BSU sweeps Upper Iowa in final match of NSIC Challenge
The Bemidji State University volleyball team picked up its second Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) win of the season as the Beavers swept the Peacocks from Upper Iowa (30-23, 30-26, 30-28) to improve its record to 6-5 on the year and 2-1 in NSIC play. The Beavers out played Upper Iowa in virtually every statistical category using a .219 hitting percentage to push toward the win.

The Bemidji State University volleyball team has been picked to finish ninth in the 2006 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Volleyball Coaches' Poll, announced recently by the league office. Kristin Peterson had 14 kills and 17 digs while Heather Haugen added 14 kills, but it was not enough for the Beavers as Bemidji State dropped a 3-2 decision to Winona State to open NSIC play tonight. BSU led 25-23 in Game 3 but dropped the game, 30-28, before ralling to win Game 4, 30-25. But the Warriors prevailed 15-10 in the pivotal fifth game to take the match.
