Prior to BSU: Looks to fill the void of departing outside hitters Kristin Peterson and Lisa Smith....Finished her 2003 season second at LeSuer-Henderson High with 172 digs, third with 35 service aces and fourth with 155 kills...Four-year volleyball letterwinner and one year in track...Teammates with newcomer Brittney Carlson on the Kaepa Northern Lights 18-2 Team based in Burnsville, Minn...Was the prep 2000 Rookie of the Year and 2001 Most Improved Player...Helped engineer her team to a 28-3-1 overall record and sub-section champions as a senior...Team captain...National Honor Society member and A-Honor Roll student.

Born May 23, 1986 in LeSueur, Minn...Daughter of Ron and Carolyn Burns...Plans to study advertising/marketing at BSU.
Falkenhagen’s comments on Burns: “Burns definitely has a chance to contribute immediately. She is a tall, hard hitter with a lot of power. The outside position is open and she will compete for that spot right away.”
