Junior Season (2008): Earned a medical redshirt after suffering a season ending injury three matches into the 2008 season.
Sophomore Season (2007): Played in 95 of 96 games, which was tied for second among her teammates...she led the team with 455 (4.79 d/g) digs, which was the most digs in a season by a Beaver player since 1989 when Mary Gergen recorded 440 digs...she was the first player since 2001 to notch three consecutive 30-plus dig matches...Was fourth on the team in kills with 209 (2.20 k/g)...second on the team in total attacks with 757...led the team 16 times in digs including a career-high 33-dig performance at St. Cloud State (9/11/07)...led BSU with nine 20-dig matches...recorded a career-high .429 (15-3-28) hitting percentage at Minnesota, Crookston (11/3/07)...recorded a career-high four blocks (1-3) at Concordia College (9/1/07)...led BSU with 10 double-doubles...was named the NSIC’s Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 10, 2007...she was the first BSU player to receive NSIC Player of the Week honors since Nov. 1, 2004.
Freshman Season (2006): Played in 84 games, which was
second most among freshman...Posted 157 kills (1.87 k/g) to
rank fourth on the team last fall...Her 343 digs was good enough
for second among her teammates (4.08 d/g)...led the team five
times in digs five times including a 27-dig performance at the
University of Mary (9/26)...She recorded 62 total attacks versus
the University of Mary on (9/26/06)...Finished fifth in hitting
percantage at .096...Recorded 5 aces in a game against Concordia-College
(9/2/06), five aces was tied for the most in a match among her
teammates...finished the season with 4 double-doubles.
At Reedsburg Area High School: A four-year varsity
player at Reedsburg Area high School, Groskreutz has led her
team to a Badger North Conference Championship and the regional
finals...a captain her senior year, she led the team in kills
(402) and digs (319) on her way to being selected as the team’s
Most Valuable Player and Best Offensive Player...Last fall she
was named to the All-State Team and was a member on the Wisconsin
All-Star team...She plays club volleyball for Wisconsin Power
Club Volleyball...As a prep she has also been active in basketball
and softball...Groskreutz also excels in the classroom...She
is a member of the National Honor Society...She will have five
years to play four.
Personal: Born in Rochester, Minn. on October 30, 1987...She is the daughter of Joel and Brenda Groskreutz...She is pursuing a community health and exercise science degree.
