At New Prague High School: Hertaus joins the BSU volleyball team after transferring in the spring semester of 2009 from Division I Marquette University...A two-sport athlete at New Prague High School, Hertaus was a three-time Missota All-Conference performer on the Volleyball court and was named to the Farmington Tournament All-Tournament twice throughout her career...She also helped lead her Club Team to a Northern Lights Qualifier championship...As a prep she was also a force on the gymnastics team were she was a state participant...An excellent student, she was a member of the National Honor Society and was a member of the New Prague High School “A” Honor Roll.

Personal: Born in New Prague, Minn. on December 31, 1989...She is the daughter of Ron and Lisa Hertaus...Proposed pre-med, psychology major.

Coach Bitter on Hertaus:
“She is a self motivated player who is an excellent passer from the back row. Samantha is an automatic passer and is a great defensive player who will help out tremendously with the speed of our game next season.”
