Quickly: Julie will be expected to step in and play on one of BSU’s top lines this year. She is a strong, physical player who can score the puck.

Prior to BSU: Rising was an all-conference selection at Capuchin High School and lettered two times in her prep career...started her hockey career in Alaska when she participated for the U19AAA Alaska North Stars as an eighth grader...went on to play for Service High School and South Anchorage High School from 2003-05...she was part of the Alaska High School State Championship team and sits third in scoring for girls hockey in Alaska...has also been a member of two NAHA prep school teams...in 2005-06, her NAHA team was the NAHA champions and then in 2006-07 her team compiled a record of 64-6-4, winning four tournaments...played for the U19 San Jose Sharks for two seasons where she was an assistant captain...was chosen in 2006 as part of the All-Honors Pacific District Team.
