2005-06 (Junior): Played
in 24 games as a junior, missing four contests due to injury...finished
third on the team averaging 10.9 points per game while leading
the team and ranking fourth in the NSIC with a .535 field
goal percentage (107-200)...scored in double-figures 14 times
including two times going for more than 20...posted one double-double
netting 17 points while grabbing 13 rebounds at Concordia-St.
Paul (1/6/06)...hauled in 10-or-more rebounds three times...earned
NSIC Player of the Week honors Jan. 9th after an opening week
of the season in which she averaged 19 points per game...was
second on the team with eight blocks.
2004-05 (Sophomore): Played in each of BSU’s
28 games and ranked second among her teammates starting 24
times...poured in 10.8 points per game over all while leading
the team in NSIC play with 10.5 points per contest...made
good on a team best 128 field goals...posted team-high .492
(128-260) field goal percentage...recorded double-figure scoring
totals 15 times netting a career-best 30 points versus St.
Cloud State (1/3/05)...tops among returners with three double-double
performances...led the team in rebounds with 5.1 per league
contest...fifteen-rebound performance versus Minnesota, Crookston
(2/5/05) set new career-mark and was the Beavers’ top
single-game rebounding total of season...paced BSU in scoring
seven times while posting the top rebounding total on nine
occasions...earned All-NSIC Third Team honors.
2003-04 (Freshman): Appeared in all 29 games
and notched the second-most starts of any rookie (16)...maintained
averages of 6.6 points and 2.7 rebounds, the scoring was good
for fourth on the club...averaged 8.4 points in her 16 league
games...led club four times in steals and three times in scoring...netted
career-high 17 points against Minnesota, Crookston (1/10/04)
on 8-of-10 shooting...hit double-figures for the first time
with 10 points against Concordia-St. Paul (1/2/04)...posted
eight points and personal-best four steals vs. Winona State
(1/3/04)...had a good second half of the year totaling six
games of 10-plus points...Connected on 94 percent (16-of-17)
of her free throws in BSU wins.
Maranatha High School Career: A 60 percent
shooter her senior year, McConkey held averages of 18.0 points,
and 5.7 rebounds per game...Grabbed 626 career rebounds and
netted 1,324 career points (14.6 points per game)...The 2002-03
Superior Daily Telegram Player of the Year and Duluth News
Tribune All-Area Team member was a big reason for her program
to go 23-1 in her final season...part of a regional championship
club two years in a row...An “A” Honor Roll student...While
attending Webster High for two years, was an all-conference
cross country runner and participated in the state championships.
