2006-07 (Sophomore): Played in all 28 games earning 24 starts garnering All-NSIC Honorable Mention Honors last season...averaged 26.5 minutes per game and was third on the team in scoring with a 12.4 average...scored double-digit points in 19 conests... recorded a career-high of 26 points in back-to-back games against Upper Iowa and Southwest Minnesota State on Jan. 20 and 26 of 2007...led the Beavers in scoring seven times...BSU was 4-3 when Matzke led the Beavers in points...was second on the team in made three-pointers with 35 along with second on the team with 102 three point attempts...led the team in field goal attempts with 312...recorded a .420 field-goal percentage (131-312)...second on the team with 3.3 assists per contest.
2005-06 (Freshman): Played in 27 games earning
starts in 16 while fouling out of one (11/25/05 at Nebraska-Kearney)...averaged
over 22 minutes per game...posted the team’s most efficient
single-game performance at the free-throw line netting a perfect
3-for-3...scored 10-or-more points on nine occasions...recorded
a career-high 13 points versus Jamestown (12/3/05) and matched
it the following night versus Dakota State (12/4/05)...rung
in the new year with her first collegiate double-double combining
12 points with a career-best 10 assists in a win over Carleton
(12/31/05)...BSU was 7-2 when Matzke posted at least 10 points...finished
the season sixth on the team in the scoring column with 7.3
points per game...was second on the team with 70 assists.
Lafayette High School Career: A participant
on the Lafayette High School basketball team for five years,
Matzke set the school’s all-time girl’s basketball
scoring mark with 1,733 career points...as a senior she netted
an average of 13.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists as
Lafayette High posted a 25-3 overall record on its way to
sub-section runner-up and conference championship accolades...during
her career, LHS rolled up a 70-28 overall record...Matzke
is a four-time All-Northern Galaxy Conference selection while
being named to the All-State team by the Minnesota Coaches
Association and to the All-State Honorable Mention team by
the Associated Press as a senior...Matzke also participated
in volleyball and track and field at Lafayette High, twice
garnering volleyball all-conference honors and being a member
of the sub-section record-holding 4x200 and 4x400-meter relay
teams...she was an honor student and a constant on the Lafayette
High School Honor Roll.

Falls, Minn...She is the daughter of Cheryl Matzke...followed
three sisters who each played collegiate sports...Nikki participated
in volleyball at MSU Moorhead, Erika and Erin each played
basketball at Concordia College...is a business administration
major at BSU.
