At Southwest Baptist University (2005-07): She twice led SBU in scoring, netting 14 points in a victory over Western State (Colo.) University as a freshman and dropped in a career-best 15 last winter as the Bearcats defeated Central Methodist (Mo.) University. While playing in the Mid-America Athletic Conference the nation’s leading Division II conference in women’s basketball attendance, she was selected to the MIAA All-Academic Team.
Cass Lake-Bena High School Career: Salscheider led the Panthers in scoring as a senior putting up 15.2 points per game while posting a field goal percentage of 60 percent, hitting 31 percent from beyond the arc. She also piled up 101 assists and accumulated 97 steals as a prep. She led CL-B to the Minnesota State High School Girls Basketball Tournament in 2005 en route to earning First Team All-Region 6A recognition and a selection to the AP All-State Honorable Mention Team.
Personal: Born February 22, 1987 in Bemidji, Minn...She is the daughter of Dr. Karl Dorothy Salscheider...Karl served as the head men’s basketball coach at BSU for 13 seasons (1981-85 and 1987-95) and is currently a professor of health at Bemidji State University...she follows her older sister and brother who has also played collegiate and professional basketball...Lynnea played two years at St. Cloud State University and Keith has played professional basketball in Australia and Denmark...is a graphic design major at BSU.
