Corby Koehler - Minnesota Army National Guard
MAJOR, Aviation, Supervisory Instructor Pilot for AASF #1 in St. Paul
#80, WR, 1992,1993,1994,1995 seasons

    Corby is currently the Supervisory Instructor Pilot for the Army Aviation
Support Facility #1 in St. Paul and was recently promoted to MAJOR. He
enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG) in 1991 and has
served over 19 years continuously. In 1998, he was commissioned a 2nd
Lieutenant and attended Initial Entry Rotary Wing (IERW) flight school. He
is qualified as an Instructor Pilot in the UH-60 A/L Blackhawk and as a
pilot in the AH-1F Cobra, OH-58 A/C Kiowa, and the TH-67 Creek. In his
military career he has served in the Infantry, the Signal Corps, Aviation,
and Military Intelligence.
    He worked as a Police Officer with the City of Minnetonka from 2000-2003. He
left the Minnetonka Police Department in 2003 to take a full time position
with the MNARNG. From 2003-2004 he deployed to Kosovo as the Multi-National
Brigade East Commanding General's Aide-de-Camp. From 2007-2008 he deployed
to Iraq as the 2-147 Assault Helicopter Battalion's Aviation Intelligence
Officer where he flew over 300 hours of combat time in a UH-60 Blackhawk,
earned the Bronze Star Medal for service, and the Combat Action Badge (After
surviving a rare complex aerial ambush). In his various positions with the
MNARNG he has overseen and managed numerous aviation operations in support
of civil authorities to include over 17 wild fire missions (Including the
2006 Bemidji area wild fires), various Search and Rescue (SAR) missions,
Hurricane Katrina/ Rita, and the Red River floods of 2001, 2006, 2009, and
2010. He was recognized with the Minnesota Medal for Merit for his actions
as the MNARNG's acting Interagency Liaison Officer / Aviation Liaison
Officer during the 2009 Red River Flood.
    After completing four years of playing football for the BSU Beavers Corby
went on to play Semi-Professional Football with the fledgling Mid-America
Football League (MFL) team the Minnesota Maulers from 1996-2001. The Maulers
won league championships in 1996, 1999, 2000, and 2001 resulting in national
playoff bids. The Minnesota Maulers were practically a dynasty during the
years Corby played with the team. He was known for good hands and his
ability to hold onto the ball after taking a hit in addition to his
clod-hopping slowness. Corby retired from the Minnesota Maulers after the
2001 season due to a back injury sustained on the job with the Minnetonka
Police department. At the time of his retirement he was believed to be in
possession of all MFL receiving records for a Tight-End by the League
Commissioner.  In 2004, he was named to the MFL's All Time Team as the first
team Tight-End.
    He graduated from BSU in 1996 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a B.A. in
Sociology. In 2004 he also earned an additional B.A. in Psychology at the
University of Minnesota.  He currently lives in Golden Valley with his wife, Angie and their two
children, Tommy and Samantha.

Trent Baalke - San Francisco 49ers: Director of Player Personnel

Trent Baalke enters his fourth season with the 49ers and his first as the team’s director of player personnel after being appointed to the position in February of 2008. In his 11th NFL season, Baalke oversees both the college and pro personnel departments.

Prior to being named director of player personnel, Baalke served as the Western region scout for the 49ers for three years. He joined San Francisco after spending four years on the Washington Redskins scouting staff, his last (2004) as the club’s college scouting coordinator. From 2001-03, Baalke served as Washington’s national scout, traveling throughout the country in search of rising talent.

Before joining the Redskins, Baalke spent three seasons (1998-2000) as a scout with the New York Jets.

He previously held the position as the athletic director at Shanley (Fargo, ND) High School. Before his stint at Shanley, Baalke was the defensive line/strength and conditioning coach at South Dakota State (1990-95) where he helped promote former Pro Bowl guard Adam Timmerman and current NFL kicker Adam Vinatieri to NFL scouts.

Baalke cut his coaching teeth as a graduate assistant and defensive line coach in 1989 for North Dakota State. He helped play a role in the team finishing with a 14-0 record and Division II National Championship, while also working with defensive lineman Phil Hansen, who went on to play 11 seasons for the Buffalo Bills.

A double major at Bemidji State (MN), Baalke received his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education. He went on to earn his master’s degree in secondary education and sports administration while coaching at North Dakota State. Baalke played outside linebacker and was a two-time All-Northern Sun Conference and an All-Mid West Region honoree at Bemidji.

Trent and his wife, Beth, have two daughters, Katy and Cassie. The family resides in Loveland, CO.

Wide receivers coach Erik Monson a graduate from Bemidji State University, has four years of prior coaching experience.

In 2003 he was the assistant coach at Macarthur High School. One year later he was assisting as a football and baseball coach and in 2005 he was the junior varsity head coach for Valley City State University. In 2006 he joined Macalester College as the assistant linebacker coach.

As a player, Monson played for Bemidji State for two years after a year at Northland Community College. He holds a teaching certificate for grades K through 12 and he studied character education through athletics for his graduate thesis. He has volunteered his time as a teacher assistant at VCSU in 2006 and he was a part of the youth sports camp that same year.

In his free time he enjoys reading, traveling, Pearl Jam music, and is interested in learning how to play the ukulele.

Wallie Kuchinski joined the Tommie football staff in spring 2008 as inside linebackers coach and defensive coordinator. He came to UST after four seasons at Truman State (Mo.) University, where he was the Bulldogs' Defensive Coordinator in 2007. He also served as Truman's strength and conditioning coach, recruiting coordinator, and equipment coordinator.
     Coach Kuchinski was part of a defensive staff that helped the Bulldogs show significant gains. The 2006 Bulldogs ranked fifth in their league as they allowed opponents just 324.2 ypg and had the fifth-best red-zone defense in one of  the nation's toughest conference, the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association. In 2005, Coach Kuchinski helped defensive linemen Steven Holman and Andy Swedenhjelm earn All-MIAA honors. In Coach Kuchinski's final season, he coached senior James Thabuteau, who earned All-MIAA honors and participated in the 2007 Cactus Bowl (Division II Senior Bowl)
    Prior to Truman, Coach Kuchinski coached defensive linemen at Concordia-St. Paul for one season, where he was instramental in the Golden Bears' NSIC championship run and berth in the 2003 Mineral Water Bowl.
    He also previously coached the defensive line for a spring at Bemidji State, and was the head eighth-grade coach in 2002 at Bemidji Middle School.
     Coach Kuchinski was a four-year starter at Bemidji State. In 2000, he led the nation in tackles for losses, and his senior year, he was the conference sack leader. He was named a team captain in 2001 and was a unanimous first-team all-conference selection. He was a member of the most successful Bemidji team in school history, the 2000 squad that finished 9-2.
    He graduated from Bemidji State with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education, and earned a Master's degree in Education from Concordia-St. Paul.  He lives in Chanhassen with his wife, Alicia.

Shaun Weaver
Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers

Shaun Weaver enters his third season as a member of the Gettysburg coaching staff and his second as the defensive coordinator.
Weaver, who will also coach the linebackers this fall, led the Bullet defense to a solid season in 2007. Gettysburg held three teams to 14 points or less and limited Ursinus College to a touchdown in a 21-7 victory. The Bullets also finished second in the Centennial Conference in sacks with 29. Weaver had three of his players earn a spot on the All-Centennial Conference team, including Josh Jerrold '09 and Conor Quinn '09, who finished second and third, respectively, among the conference's sack leaders. In addition, linebacker Harold Barton '08 was third in the conference in tackles.
Prior to his arrival at Gettysburg, Weaver served as a defensive line graduate assistant coach at Bemidji State University in Minnesota from 2004-05. He also spent two seasons coaching the defensive line and serving as the junior varsity defensive coordinator at his alma mater, Wilmington College in Ohio, from 2002-03. Weaver guided his players to multiple postseason accolades at both Bemidji and Wilmington, including coaching one to All-American status at the latter.
Weaver holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from Wilmington College, one in secondary education/social studies licensure, and one in history. In the spring of 2006, he was awarded a master's degree in sports studies by Bemidji State University.
