RESN session on appreciative inquiry process set for March 13

BEMIDJI, Minn. - A Regional Employer Support Network session presentation entitled "Appreciative Inquiry - See How Looking For Positives Will Yield Positive Results" is scheduled from 9-11 a.m. Thursday, March 13 at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation, an off-campus facility located at 3801 Bemidji Avenue North.

The session is free and open to all who are interested in learning about the topic.

Presenting will be Pam Worth, a leadership-training specialist with Leech Lake Gaming, Cass Lake. Her experience includes serving as a training manager for 16 years at Opryland Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

Her presentation will examine how appreciative inquiry helps identify what is working right in an organization and how to repeat those successes. The inquiry process produces a series of statements that describe an organization's desired future, notes Worth, and her presentation will teach managers the skills they need to utilize this positive process within their own organizations.

Those attending will receive a handbook and outline of Worth's PowerPoint presentation.

The Regional Employer Support Network was formed after employers in the region expressed the need for a network of professionals involved in human resources development and management. It usually meets the first Thursday of each month with regular sessions lasting two hours and quarterly sessions lasting longer. The sessions are open to anyone interested in learning more about the featured topic. CRI staff members help facilitate RESN activities, and organizations collaborating to support the group include North Country Health Services, North Country Business Products, Potlatch, Bi-CAP, Johanneson, Inc., Pinnacle Publishing and Anderson Fabrics.
