BEMIDJI, Minn. (September 2, 2009) — The Bemidji State University Center for Reseach and Innovation has announced its lineup of Brown Bag Luncheon discussion topics for September, 2009.

Brown Bag Luncheons are held from noon to 1 p.m. at the center’s 3801 Bemidji Ave. North location in Bemidji. No advance registration is required, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. The sessions are free and open to anyone interested in the presentation.

Wednesday, Aug. 9 - “Strength Quest”
Do you feel you have the chance to do what you do best at work, every single day? If you don’t, you’re not alone. Research indicates only 20 percent of people say they are doing what they do best at work each day. Those 20 percent are six times more likely to be emotionally engaged on the job and three times more likely to report an excellent quality of life in general. The “Strength Quest” Brown Bag Lunch session will discuss how to capitalize on your own strengths and those of your team in pursuit of more passionate, more productive, less stressed employees who make significant contributions to their organizations.

Presenter: Deanna Murphy, Northland Community & Technical College
Date: Wednesday, Sept. 9
Location: Center for Research and Innovation; 3801 Bemidji Ave. N, Bemidji
Cost: free
