BEMIDJI, Minn. (Jan. 24, 2012) —Travis Turner, a senior fulfilling his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Bemidji State University, will be showing his artwork in BSU’s Ramsey Gallery.
Turner, from Cannon Falls, Minn., said his show would be highlighting “multimedia derelicts.”
“Multimedia derelicts come from the gutter to the gallery to solicit obsolescence to originality through reintegration of consumerist refuse,” Turner explained.
Turner’s art display, “Sirens For Ghosttown,” will be in the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex in the Ramsey Gallery Jan. 23-Feb. 3.
Located in the main lobby of the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex on the southernmost end of the Bemidji State campus, the Ramsey Gallery is a gallery that features student artworks. The gallery hours are Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m.-10 p.m.
For more information, contact the student gallery director, Emily Wendland, at emily.wendland@live.bemidjistate.edu, or call BSU’s Visual Arts Department at 218-755-3735.
