March 25 lecture covers the impact of technology on our lifestyle

BEMIDJI, Minn. - This age of genetic modification, tourist space travel and instant global communication is fueled by one thing - the application of knowledge.

On Tuesday, March 25, at 10 a.m., retired BSU President Dr. M. James Bensen will present "The Impact of Emerging Technology on Our Lifestyle" at Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation (CRI).

Dr. Bensen will make the point that the decisions we make about technology have important implications for our health care, economy, lifestyle, education and quality of place. Our societies are witness to a time of incredible opportunity for productivity, capacity and well-being.

His talk at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation (CRI) is part of the spring Tuesday morning lecture series sponsored by the Academy of Lifelong Learning and coordinated by the CRI. The lectures are free and open to the public at the CRI, an off-campus facility located at 3801 Bemidji Avenue North.
