Student music recitals scheduled at Bemidji State

BEMIDJI, Minn. (April 19, 2011) — Bemidji State University’s Department of Music will feature its final pair of student recitals for the year later this month in the Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex.

• Saturday, April 23: Jini Lawless, flute
Lawless, a junior in music/teacher certification from Bemidji, Minn., presents an instrumental music recital. Lawless will be accompanied by Samantha Peter, senior in biology from Milford, Iowa, on clarinet and Matt Sieberg, a junior in music from Eagle Lake, Minn., on piano. The concert will begin at 3 p.m. in the Thompson Recital Hall of Bemidji State’s Bangsberg complex. Admission is free.

• Saturday, April 30: Lexie Kruse, trumpet
Kruse, a sophomore in music/liberal arts and music/teacher certification from Pipestone, Minn., presents a non-degree instrumental recital. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Thompson Recital Hall of Bemidji State’s Bangsberg complex. Admission is free.
