BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 10, 2011) — Gov. Mark Dayton has proclaimed the week of Nov. 14 as Minnesota College Application Week.
In honor of Minnesota College Application Week, Bemidji State University (BSU) and Northwest Technical College (NTC) will be waiving the application fee, Nov. 14 - 18, 2011, for all Minnesota high school students.
This week will provide a framework for high schools and postsecondary institutions to collaborate in a concentrated effort to engage and inform students across the state about the college application process. The main goal of this initiative at the high school site is to increase the number of all students completing a college application, with a special focus on first-generation college goers.
