BSU Faculty MIDI Ensemble to Perform in December

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Nov. 18, 2011) — The Bemidji State University Faculty MIDI Ensemble will be performing Dec. 5 in the Thompson Recital Hall in Bemidji State’s Bangsberg Fine Arts Complex at 7:30 p.m.

The ensemble, also known as the MIDIots, consists of Dr. Del Lyren and Dr. Erika Svanoe on the electric wind instrument, Eric Sundeen on the MalletKat, Greg Gaston playing the wavedrum and MIDI percussion, and Lee Foster on bass and FX.

The group performs an electric mixture of musical genres ranging from contemporary instrumental compositions to atmospheric soundscapes.  Educational demonstrations of the MIDI instruments will be presented during the concert.
