Works by senior Ashly Karl on display at Touché Gallerie

BEMIDJI, Minn. (Dec. 2, 2011) — Ashly Karl, a senior art major at Bemidji State University, is showing nature-inspired artwork as part of an exhibition entitled “Tangible Evidence.”

Karl, from Park Rapids, Minn., has her work on display in Bemidji State’s Touché Gallerie. The show opened Nov. 21 and runs through Dec. 14. She an opening reception for the show will be held at the gallery from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The exhibition features nature-influenced artwork in a variety of mediums. In Karl’s words, she has “transformed images, memories, and events into tangible evidence.”

Located on the upper level of Bemidji State’s Hobson Memorial Union, the Touché Gallerie is a student-directed art gallery that features both student and community artists’ works, as well as non-traditional exhibits. The gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
