BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University’s Outdoor Program Center will offer a pair of skiing-related activites to close out the month of February, including a shuttles o Bemidji’s Buena Vista Ski Area and an introduction to skijorning.
• Introduction to skijorning
The OPC will be offering an introduction to skijorning, or cross-country skiing while being pulled by a dog, on Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 2-4 p.m. at the OPC Boathouse in Diamond Point Park. Cost of the skijorning clinich is $10, which includes snacks and hot drinks.
• Buena Vista ski area shuttle
The OPC will be offering a shuttle to Bemidji’s Buena Vista Ski Area on Friday, Feb. 27. The free shuttle will depart from the Gillett Recreation and Fitness Center on the Bemidji State campus at 5 p.m. and return at 8 p.m.
Those interested in participating in the skijorning clinic or the Buena Vista shuttle are encouraged to call the OPC to confirm the start times for the events in advance.
