Outdoor Program Center activities for October 1-13

BEMIDJI, Minn. (September 25, 2009) — The Outdoor Program Center at Bemidji State University has two activities scheduled for September, beginning with canoeing event on Thursday, Oct. 1.

THURSDAY, OCT. 1
Canoe Lake Bemidji – 3-5 P. M. – Anyone interested should meet at the OPC Boathouse in Diamond Point Park adjacent to the BSU Football Stadium.

THURSDAY, OCT. 1 – SATURDAY, OCT. 3
Devil’s Lake Climbing Trip – Rock climbing in Devil’s Lake. Cost is $80.00. For more information call the OPC office at (218) 755-2999.

WEDNESDAY, OCT. 7
Bike Around Lake Bemidji – 3-5 P. M. – Tackle the Lake Bemidji bike path. Anyone interested should meet at the OPC Boathouse in Diamond Point Park adjacent to the BSU Football Stadium.

FRIDAY, OCT. 9 – SATURDAY, OCT. 10
BWCA Canoe Trip – Spend a weekend canoeing the Boundary Waters. Cost is $60/$85. For more information, call the OPC office at (218) 755-2999.

MONDAY, OCT. 12
Kayak Safety Course – 7 P. M. – Learn the basics of kayaking. Class will meet at the BSU Pool. Cost is $15/$25.

TUESDAY, OCT. 13
Kayak Lake Bemidji – 3-5 P. M. – For beginners and experts alike. Anyone interested should meet at the OPC Boathouse in Diamond Point Park adjacent to the BSU Football Stadium.
