BEMIDJI, Minn. (October 20, 2009) — The Outdoor Program Center at Bemidji State University has several activities scheduled for the end of October and the bulk of November, starting with the Third Annual Climbing Club “Bolderween” on Friday, Oct. 30.
FRIDAY, OCT. 30
3rd Annual Climbing Club “Bolderween” – Wild Halloween creatures will be climbing BSU’s rock wall. Call 755-3900 for more information.
MONDAY, NOV. 2
Kayak in the BSU pool – 7-9 P.M. – Practice your kayaking technique. Meet at the BSU pool in the Gillett Fitness Center.
MONDAY, NOV. 9
Intro to Climbing – 6-9 P.M. – Learn the basics whether you’re an expert or novice climber. All equipment included. Meet at BSU’s rock wall in the Gillett Fitness Center.
THURSDAY, NOV. 12
Snowshoe Lacing – 6-9 P.M. – Build, lace and varnish your own pair of traditional snowshoes. All equipment and materials provided. Meet at OPC Diamond Point Boathouse. Course costs $60 for studens, $75 for the public; all necessary materials included. Call 755-3900 for more information.
MONDAY, NOV. 16

Cross Country Ski Waxing – 7-9 P.M. – Get your cross-country skis waxed and ready for the season. Meet at the OPC Diamond Point Boathouse.
MONDAY, NOV. 23
Ski/Snowboard Waxing – 7-9 P.M. – Bring your skis or snowboard to the OPC for a pre-season waxing. Meet at the OPC Diamond Point Boathouse.
