Under the supervision of Dr. Mike Herbert, Criminal Investigations students take advantage of the on-going Sattgast Hall renovations to re-create a potential crime scene. Students work in teams and are given a scenario, such as construction workers discovering what appeared to be a bone sticking out of the ground, and the team must go in and go through the investigative process. In this case a partial skeleton, knife and other items were uncovered at the scene. They must then take what they have recovered back to the lab and determine as much as they can about the evidence left at the scene.
