Dr. Karen Kirkendall from the University of Illinois-Springfield led a campus discussion Monday on the University's mission and its role in the Higher Learning Commission's self-study process. The discussion centered on the three mission components: engaging in new worlds of thought, embracing responsible citizenship, and educating for a future that can only be imagined.
