Dr. Anton Treuer, Professor of Languages and Ethnic Studies, presided over a welcome to spring semester pipe ceremony in the gathering room at the American Indian Resource Center (AIRC) on Monday, January 9. Treuer asked for blessings and guidance for a safe and productive semester and explained the significance of the pipe ceremony in the Ojibwe culture.
