12:00pm - Tuesday Free Lunch Meal
Lutheran Campus Ministry offers a free home-cooked meal on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at the Lutheran Campus Center and so far we have averaged 20+ students joining us this fall of 2012. Last year we invited faculty/administration/staff to join us and 1) just sit and eat and hang out with us or 2) speak about a topic of their choice and interest to the students for ten minutes and leave another fifteen minutes or so for questions and discussion. Among the presenters last year were Barbara Eriksson-Capes and Larry Hanus from the Health and Counseling Center, Dale Ladig from Residential Life, and Mary Tosch from the Student Union. If any of you would like to present information on a topic of interest and then lead a short discussion, contact Pastor Jim Holthus (PJ) at 760-2028 or e-mail him at lootrn@hotmail.com. We would love to have a variety of people share their thoughts this year!

3:30pm - Academic Affairs Campus Update
On December 4 from 3:30-4:30 in Sattgast 208, we will hold an Academic Affairs update to share and celebrate some of the work being done across the areas organized under Academic Affairs. The update will be based upon the Academic Work Plan for 2012-2013 that was presented at the fall start-up. A summary of that work plan can be found on the provost blog. An even shorter summary is this: 1. Financial stability and sustainability of academic programs; 2. Internationalization of the campus and community; 3. Academic distinctiveness (focus). We invite anyone interested to attend the update.
