8:00am - Midwinter Interlude
The Midwinter Interlude is in its fourth year; growing from 17 exhibitors during the inaugural show to 29 in 2012. Works on display have included photography, stained glass, sculpture, jewelry, quilting, knitting, drawing and painting, fishing tackle, and other forms of arts and crafts. An open house reception will be held Monday, Feb. 25 from 1-6 p.m. in The Ramsey Gallery lobby; refreshments will be served with live music, and many of the participating artists will be available for a meet-and-greet.

9:00am - Talley Gallery Exhibit
Jonathan Jacquet, a visual artist from Athens, GA, will have paintings and sculptures exploring the effects of Acquired Monocular Vision on the perception of form. Jacquet has a condition called stereo-blindness; one visual cue that is lost is depth perception, making it difficult for him to navigate in space.

Participants will learn basic kayaking skills, such as wet exits, rescues, self-rescue, bracing and Eskimo rolling, within the controlled environment of a swimming pool.

7:30pm - Stephen Carlson (Faculty Piano)
Carlson began teaching in the music department in 2006 and has performed at a variety of colleges, universities and festivals throughout the United States. His recital will include works composed by musicians Franz Joseph Haydn, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, and Igor Stravinsky.
