8:00am - Bridgeman Hall Gallery Show
The TADD 4579 Advanced Digital Print Design creative production teams their first integrated print marketing campaigns on display in the first floor Gallery in Bridgeman Hall. The show is entitled "getting hungry?" and will run through Oct. 28 to Nov. 22 Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Each team selected a food product to promote to a specific targeted audience through an event and an intergrated print marketing campaign. Hope you enjoy.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. in the center's Hall of Fame lobby, and activities for students begin at 10:15 a.m. The one-hour test begins at 11:30 a.m. and the afternoon features open time for students and advisors.

5:30pm - Sustainable Tuesday
Mapping the Region in Terms of Food. David Abazs, from Round River Farm in Finland, MN, and his wife, Lise, operate a non-profit seed bank. Shalom Seed Sanctuary, which helps teach sustainable farming in Minnesota's Arrowhead region. Abazs will help workshop participants map Bemidji's region in terms of land usage and the area's capacity for regional crops. He will also share information on current agricultural practices and provide insights into possible areas for expanded production. he also will examine the creation of a "regional pattern diet," how producing the diet compares to the production of an American standard diet, and how the economic impact of a local food system can impact an area's sustainability. Abazs also will discuss a variety of agricultural projects that might provide ideas for food developers in the region, including aquaponics, the use of algae for fuel and examples of farm-to-school programs.
