Graduation Application Priority Deadline: Oct. 27, 2023. Plan ahead for Commencement 2024 by submitting your graduation application in advance.
Commencement exercises are held at the close of the spring semester. Students who graduate the fall semester prior to commencement, spring semester of commencement or the summer session immediately following commencement are invited to attend the commencement exercises. Students must have graduation planning documents on file in the Records Office by March 1, 2024, to be included in the printed program.
Anyone who will be graduating fall semester following spring commencement, but wishes to participate in the earlier commencement exercises must:
- File the graduation plans by March 1, 2024.
- If you want to participate in commencement one year or more prior to completing your last degree requirement, department chair approval must be received and submitted to the Records Office – ex. officially graduating/completing degree requirements Spring 2025, but wanting to participate early Spring 2024. Department chair approval is required for this situation.
Attendance at commencement exercises does not signify completion of all degree requirements.
