keynote

We would like to welcome Dr. Dan Gartrell as our 2008 keynote speaker

This is the 30th Anniversary of the Mega Conference, and it is only appropriate that we have our very own early childhood expert delivering the Keynote address entitled
 “Believing In Kids.”

Dan is a nationally renowned early childhood speaker.  He has delivered many workshops across the nation, and has presented Keynote addresses at conferences in Iowa, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Missouri, California, West Virginia, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska and Oregon.

Dan has been writing a column in Young Children, the magazine published by NAEYC, since the fall of 2005.  He has also authored 4 early childhood textbooks titled A Guidance Approach to Discipline, A Guidance Approach for the Encouraging Classroom (in it’s 4th Edition), What the Kids Said Today, and The Power of Guidance: Teaching Social-Emotional Skills in Early Childhood Classrooms.

We are very proud to have Dan as the Director of the Child Development Training Program.

The Child Development Training Program (CDTP) will be hosting the 30th annual Early Childhood Mega Conference March 13 and 14, 2008, at Bemidji State University.  Participants attend educational workshops designed for individuals from Head Start, ECFE, ECSE, Learning Readiness, nursery schools, public schools and centers, and Family Child Care programs.  The conference is famous as “a marketplace of ideas for early childhood professionals.”  CDTP is committed to providing a forum where individuals can gather and discuss issues vital to those who serve young children and families.  CDTP assumes no responsibility for ideas expressed, nor do we imply endorsement of any product or service of any exhibitor.
