MEGA CONFERENCE OPENING KEYNOTE ADDRESS Leap into literacy with national early childhood educational consultant and published author Jane Kitson from Atlanta, GA. In addition to delivering keynotes, presenting workshops and staff development, Jane has shared interactive presentations with over 80,000 early childhood professionals in 46 states and Canada. Her hands-on techniques are the result of 25 years experience in the early childhood classroom. Jane’s Keynote Address is: “Giggle Wiggle Clap and Learn. . .Move Your Body And Your Brain” Children are natural wigglers and this energy can be used as a learning experience! This enthusiastic presentation includes dozens of easy to replicate activities that foster language development coupled with kinesthetic learning. Teachers will be doing activities that they can immediately use in their classroom, fostering important skills such as rhythm, repetition, and rhyme. Of course, there will be lots of clapping and laughing too! Perfect for those who are looking for new ways to start each day with young children!!! Jane will also be doing two workshops titled: “A Pocketful of Fun” and "Add A Slice Of Music . . Add A Slice Of Fun!" Participants attend educational workshops designed for individuals from Head Start, ECFE, ECSE, Learning Readiness, nursery schools, public schools and centers, and Family Child Care programs. The conference is famous as “a marketplace of ideas for early childhood professionals.” CDTP is committed to providing a forum where individuals can gather and discuss issues vital to those who serve young children and families.
