Minnesota School Health Education Conference

TARGET AUDIENCE

K-12 Health Education Teachers
This conference is designed to provide elementary, middle, secondary, and collegiate health educators with effective lessons and strategies focusing on the achievement of national, state, and local school health education learner outcomes.

Teaching and Learning: Health Literacy for All Learners

Health literacy is defined as the capacity of an individual to obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information and services and the competence to use such information and services in health enhancing ways.

Educators using "teaching and learning best practices" in the classroom will provide diverse student populations with the educational environment and experiences conducive for improved learning, achievement, health literacy, and success.

This two-day conference will focus on providing participants with best practice teaching and learning strategies and resources that will lead to serious, thoughtful, informed, responsible, and state-of-the-art teaching.
