Understanding Problem Gambling Conference

|
The goal of the 27th Annual Minnesota School Health Education Conference is to improve
health education in Minnesota schools.

Teaching and Learning: Health Literacy for All Learners

|
Health literacy is defined as the capacity of an individual to obtain, interpret, and understand basic
health information and services and the competence to use such information and services in health
enhancing ways.
Educators using "teaching and learning best practices" in the classroom will provide diverse student populations with the
educational environment and experiences conducive for improved learning, achievement, health literacy,
and success.
This two-day conference will focus on providing participants with best practice teaching and learning strategies
and resources that will lead to serious, thoughtful, informed, responsible, and state-of-the-art teaching.
