Title of Work: Needs and Care of the Renal Dialysis

Abstract: This presentation will explore the biological, psychosocial, cultural, social, spiritual, and environmental needs of clients requiring renal dialysis. These clients are at increased risk of septicemia related to their frequent hemodialysis and the type of dialysis access used. The goal of care is to reduce the number of blood stream infections through prevention and to aid clients in making informed choices to keep themselves at their maximum state of wellness. Data from the literature and client interviews will be examined.

Title of Work: Analysis of Aspartame in Commercial Sodas

Abstract: Aspartame is a low-calorie sweetener which is used in various food products, including carbonated beverages.  The focus will be on diet drinks and to develop a simple analytical method by HPLC to determine the quantity of aspartame in the diet drinks.  From the data, the levels of aspartame in commercial samples will be determined.
