Poster Sessions and Creative Performances

Deadline for Abstract Submissions

*Electronic Proposal Form*

  • Research Paper/Thesis (e.g., senior project, capstone course paper, senior or master's thesis, research project)
  • Creative work (e.g., works of fiction, poetry, works of art, dance)
  • Performances (e.g., vocal or instrumental recital, dramatic reading/performance, performance art)
  • Poster Session (e.g., visual display of research, technology, photography, art)

Both an electronic and a hardcopy proposal submission are required.

Requirements:
1. The proposal form is available via the conference website http://www.bemidjistate.edu/scholar/eform.html
2. Complete the online form
3. Submit the form online
4. Print a copy of the form. This copy should be signed by the student's faculty sponsor, the appropriate department chair person, and turned in to the appropriate Dean's office for his/her signature.

Applications will not be complete if they have not been both electronically sent and submitted as a hard copy. The conference program will be available the day of the conference and will include abstracts from all the completed applications.

Students who worry about making an oral presentation due to speech anxiety or other uncertainties related to speech preparation might consider visiting the Oral Communication Lab in Bangsberg 225. Our staff is happy to help you prepare. We can even videotape a practice and view it with you so that you will know you are ready for the conference. Our hours during Spring Semester 2006 are:
