Information for Participants
Student Code of Conduct
These guidelines apply to all fair attendees at all locations and events during the fair.
- The use of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages and/or other drugs is prohibited.
- Presenters and Observers are expected to be in their own rooms no later than the indicated times.
- Appropriate attire is expected. The Judging Events and Awards Ceremonies are "dressy" affairs. Men should wear dress pants, nice shirts and tie. Sweaters would also be acceptable. Ladies should wear dresses, skirts, or pantsuits.
- Be respectful and considerate of others at all times. Remember, you have been selected to represent your school and your region. Make all those at home proud of your behavior. Be friendly and courteous at all times. Make a special effort to make new friends. Be especially polite when listening to speakers, as it is often very difficult to hear when the entire group assembles. The same applies during award ceremonies.
- Respect of BSU property is required and appreciated.
- Attendance is mandatory at the Opening Sessions and all Awards Ceremonies.
Consequences: Anyone found violating the conduct code may be disqualified from the competition and sent home immediately at his or her own expense.
