I attended Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania and then did my Ph.D. work at Northwestern University just outside Chicago.
I am a physical organic chemist who loves both organic synthesis and ultrafast lasers. My research interests lie with renewable energy, specifically solar energy.
At Bemidji State I teach sections of the General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry labs, along with a Sustainability Perspectives course that focuses on the sustainability of our energy resources.
My husband is a professor in the Psychology Department and we love being part of the BSU community and attending sporting events, lectures, and activities on campus. I have two young boys and they keep me busy when I’m not working in the Chemistry Department.
