Dr. Tim Brockman is an associate professor in the Department of Technology, Art & Design. He coordinates the technology degree programs for the department, and teaches in the construction management and engineering technology areas.

He brings a vast construction and educational background to the classroom with construction industry experience as a consultant, former licensed contractor, property developer and adult educator. His current teaching assignments include the Impact of Technology, Construction Technology, Print Reading and Documentation, Project Bidding and Estimating, Construction Management, Facility Management, and Sustainability and Emerging Technology.

Tim received his Doctorate of Philosophy from the University of North Dakota in the area of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. His graduate research centered on the personality factors influencing undergraduates in the selection of their majors and careers in the construction industry based on the work of John L. Holland, vocational psychologist. He received both his Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees from Illinois State University.

Dr. Brockman does consulting in the areas of energy efficiency and remodeling of residential and commercial structures. His interests include woodworking, gardening, ceramics, hiding in the Superior Hiking Trail system, and the outdoors.
