Maureen Gibbon
Professor

Biography

A graduate of Barnard College and the Iowa Writers' Workshop, Gibbon has taught at BSU since 2006, specializing in creative writing classes. She also teaches literature courses on Willa Cather, horror and the supernatural, young adult books, and storytelling. She is the faculty advisor for the English Department's literary magazine, Milk Tooth.

Recent Work

Maureen Gibbon's new novel, The Lost Notebook of Édouard Manet, will be published by W. W. Norton in September 2021. Gibbon is also the author of the novels Paris Red, Thief and Swimming Sweet Arrow, and the collection of prose poems Magdalena.
