Mission Statement
The mission of the BSU office of Environmental, Health, & Safety
is to promote and support a safe and healthy campus environment. BSU
EHS endeavors to accomplish this mission by providing the University
community with information and technical support to manage risks, achieve
regulatory compliance, and protect and enhance our natural environment.
EHS Activities
EHS activities include but are not limited to:
- Assessing and directing compliance with environmental
and safety regulations that apply to University operations.
- Advising in the development and implementation of
environmental and health and safety programs and policies.
- Hazard assessment and mitigation
- Coordinating safety training.
- Investigating accidents and reports of hazardous
conditions or activities.
- Coordinating the University's workers' compensation
program.
- Hazardous waste management
- Recycling
- Waste reduction
- Pollution prevention
- Indoor air quality investigations
