BSUFA Executive Meeting June 13, 2000 Present: Chris Brown, Rich Gendreau, Rod Henry, Barb Schuldt 1. Meet & Confer Agenda for June 14, 2000 - the issues and our approach was discussed a. Concern was raised about the co-locations impact on faculty and what assurance faculty would have that it would not effect current and future positions. Additional concern was general education courses. b. Need for failed searches to begin immediately in the fall. c. Notification of faculty concerning tenure and promotion decisions and that some faculty have received letters while others did not d. Discussion of the memo from Dr. Quistgaard concerning communications groups e. Additional item the impact upon faculty with the changes in the printing operations 2. The Executive Board approved a copy of a memo from the BSUFA Executive Committee to President Bensen concerning the reclassification of the Upward Bound Director's position with minor revisions. This memo will be given to President Bensen at the Meet & Confer meeting 6-14-00. 3. Chris was authorized to purchase card stock for name cards for the Senators and for removable mail labels (to help ballots remain anonymous) 4. Articles needed about the Campus, program, alumnus, and faculty for the Statewide IFO journal. The Head of the Action committee (BSUFA Vice President) is the person responsible for coordinating the writing of these articles.
