Larry Swain is an Assistan Professor of English and currently serves as the Chair of the English Department. His research interests include medieval languages and literature, science fiction, fantasy literature, mystery literature, medievalisms, and digital humanities, among a host of others. Dr. Swain has a particular interest with the needs of non-traditional and contingent faculty. He has authored several articles, edits the journal The Heroic Age that focuses on Northwest Europe in the early middle ages, and is currently producing a book for Witan Publications. Larry has an investment in "life-long learning," believing that an educator's purpose is not to prepare students for a job at 22, but to prepare students to educate themselves their entire lives.
