BSU Directory Account

Your BSU Directory account gives you access to the MyBSU Portal - the hub of electronic resources for the university. 

Your Directory account also gives you access to:

  • Windows login - on your university computer (if using windows), and in the University Labs.
  • Network Storage - personal storage plus shared storage for your department.
    (See Tutorials for connecting to network storage)
  • FTP - if you have direct access to a website, you will use your Directory username and password to login to the FTP server.

Changing Your Password

You must change your Directory password every 90 days. It can be changed either on a windows machine when you login or through the MyBSU Portal.

Resetting Your Password

If you have forgotten your password and have entered your security questions in MyBSU you can use the MyBSU portal to reset your password. 

  • Go to MyBSU
  • Click on "Reset Your Password" below the login form.

If you haven't saved your security questions in MyBSU then you will need to contact the Faculty & Staff Help Desk for assistance.
