SBDC to host course on construction of Web sites

BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Northwest Regional Small Business Development Center, housed at the Bemidji State University Center for Research and Innovation, will be hosting a course on Web site construction on Thursday, Oct. 23. The course will be held from 1-5 p.m. at the CRI, an off-campus facility located at 3801 Bemidji Ave. North.

The course has a $75 fee.

The course will be an introduction to basic Web site development, targeted towards new users of the Web and those who have been deterred from pursuing a Web presence for their business by the high cost associated with professional site development. It will be a hands-on workshop in which attendees will construct and launch a professional-looking Web site.

Upon completion of the workshop, course attendees will have a live Web site ready to be seen by visitors.

The course will be repeated on Monday, Aug. 27, from 1-5 p.m. at the Northwoods Bank in Park Rapids, Minn.; and again on Thursday, Oct. 30, from 5-9 p.m. at the Swenson House in Thief River Falls, Minn.
