Optivation, a custom training venture operated by Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College, is offering commercial vehicle inspector re-certification and a computer basics course as part of its lineup of activities for October.
Commercial Vehicle Inspector Re-Certification
Optivation’s Oct. 18 commercial vehicle inspector re-certification course is intended for inspectors whose certification has expired in the last six months or is set to expire soon. There is a limit of 30 participants.
The course will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Northwest Technical College, located at 905 Grant Ave. SE in Bemidji. There is a $105 registration fee; register online.
Optivation’s Oct. 22 computer basics course provides eight hours of basic skills and feature training for Windows 7, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Participants in the course will become familiar with features of Windows 7 and how to use the most-common functions in Word and Excel.
The course will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Northwest Indian Opportunity Industrialization Center offices, located at 520 4th Street NW in Bemidji. There is a $110 registration fee; register online.
