Bemidji State University is hosting a free Campus Clean Energy Forum, Nov. 13.

The event, held in conjunction with the Northwest Clean Energy Resource Team, will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning in the Great Room of BSU’s American Indian Resource Center.

Students, professors, facility managers and campus sustainability coordinators will meet to celebrate clean energy projects and learn from one another as they share projects and activities from campuses across northwestern Minnesota.

Jason Edens, a Bemidji State alum and founder of Rural Renewable Energy Alliance, will give a keynote address on his experience turning his passion and educational experience into a successful non-profit endeavor. He also will explain how the alliance is working with campuses on innovative clean energy solutions.

Bill Maki, Bemidji State’s vice president for finance and administration, will participate in a panel discussion on strategic facilities projects from 10:30-11:50 a.m. in the AIRC Great Room.
