Campus Summit on Alcohol and Student Safety

A crowd of Bemidji State University faculty, staff and students estimated to be over 500 attended a Campus Summit on Alcohol and Student Safety in the Beaux Arts Ballroom on Jan. 29.

President Richard Hanson shared his thoughts on the threat posed by alcohol abuse and the importance of decision-making, responsibility and community. Jay Passa, education coordinator for the Student Center for Health and Counseling, and Randy Ludemann, university conduct officer, spoke on programs and policies related to alcohol on campus. Audience members also participated in a wide-ranging Q&A session about student safety and alcohol use.
