President Hensrud Meets With Presidents of Four Area Tribal Colleges

Dr. Faith Hensrud, president of Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College, held her first meeting with the presidents of the region’s four tribal colleges at the American Indian Resource Center.

Erma Vizenor, president of Leech Lake Tribal College; Dan King, president of Red Lake Nation College; Larry Anderson, president of Fon Du Lac Tribal and Community College; and Tracy Clark, interim president of White Earth Tribal and Community College, met with Hensrud to discuss current collaborations such as the Azhoogan Consortium, which includes the tribal colleges and Northwest Technical College, and to discuss future opportunities for collaboration.

As part of the visit, Hensrud presented the four visiting presidents with a gift of wild rice, sage and tobacco grown on the BSU campus.
