Celebrating BSU’s retirees and New Emeriti Faculty

Bemidji State University continued a Commencement tradition and recognized new retirees and emeriti faculty for their decades of service to the university. The six faculty members honored have a combined total of 143 years of service to the university.

Emeriti:
James Rafferty, professor emeritus of psychology – 39 years
• Rosealie Weaver, professor emerita of English – 28 years
Craig Hougen, professor emeritus of human performance, sport and health – 26 years

Retirees:
Kathryn Berglund, coordinator of graphic design and publications – 29 years
Dr. David Smith, associate professor of business administration – 13 years
Steve Sertich, assistant professor of athletics and human performance, sport & health – 8 years
